It is a service that takes advantage of the Electronic data exchange that is provided by KSE (Kuwait Stock Exchange) to the investment company.
Using this service the investment company can submit and retrieve orders to and from KSE in a fast, electronic and secure way.
Users inside this document can be 'Traders' or 'Clients' of the investment company.
The entities involved are as follows:
- The Investment company
- KSE
- Web Client interface
- Integration module between KSE and investment company

Order Flow
- Order is instantiated from the client web browser.
- Order is stored in the investment company database
- Order is formatted and redirected to KSE with the proper format.
- Order is approved by broker and redirected to KSE
- Order is given an order number.
- Order is executed and a message is returned.
- Order is updated in the company database and refreshed for the client.

System Advantages
- Users can do all types of operations (place new order, update quantity, update price, cancel order) from web browser, without any human intervention.
- Orders are validated by system (validations on pricing and amounts depend on rules set by company).
- Orders can be placed based on market price or client decides on price based on KSE specifications.
- Users can choose to use IOC (immediate-or-cancel) or FOK (fill-or-kill) when placing an order. IOC means "full fill immediately or cancel my order" and "FOK means "fill whatever is available immediately and rest cancel". Options are provided by KSE.

- Daily upload of portfolio position at the start of day

- Easy management of clients' orders directly posted at end of day to portfolio without the use data entry through import from the existing portfolio application.
- Validation of current client position when placing orders real time
- Possibility of placing orders for multiple clients using same Investor Number

The program helps investment companies to route their orders to the desired brokerage houses (brokers) electronically.
They can submit their orders to the KATS system through one of the brokerage houses of their choice. Then all orders received by Brokerage houses (brokers)
will be manually verified and then it can be submitted immediately to KSE.
This routing client program allows investment companies to submit their orders in a reliable, fast and secure way.
