The Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology in Qatar (ictQATAR) chose IDS to design and implement a series of social systems that improve the telecom services in the state of Qatar.

The project enables users to report their feedback about the telecommunication services quality and coverage issues through the mobile application called ARSEL/أرسل. 

IDS developed 4 functions that helped in monitoring the quality of the services and hence improving them; the functions are as follows:

• Mobile Consumer Reporting Application that collects the consumer feedbacks on the telecommunications services and the quality of service in the state of Qatar.
• Online Map located on ictQATAR’s website to show the received feedback through the mobile reporting application for the coverage complaints for specific areas.
• Online Speed Test located on ictQATAR’s website permitting the consumers to test their internet speed and to deliver their feedback about the internet speed results to ictQATAR.
• Web Interface to empower ictQATAR users to manage the reporting and other functions.

The online map, online speed test and web interface are used to manage the reports and the online map content. The collected data from the users gets utilized for analysis and eventually utilized for the improvement of the quality of service.
